Now that we've got all of the boring information out of the way, I'll tell you about myself and this blog. My entire life I've been a bit of a wallflower. I get nervous around small groups of people, yet when I'm talking in front of a crowd, I thrive. I'm a great public speaker, but speaking face to face with at least two people wrecks me. I don't know what it is, but for some reason, when it's idle chit-chat, I just can't do it. If I know what I'm talking about, you just won't shut me up. Otherwise, you're going to struggle to get a small conversation out of me because I'll just sit there awkwardly staring at my hands.
I love to travel. Travelling and meeting new people from all different walks of life is more than just a hobby for me. I know I've only visited a few countries, but to me, travelling is a lifestyle, and if I could afford it, I would never be in the same place for more than a month. As of February 2017, I have visited 13 of America's 50 states, 3 of the Spanish Balearic Islands, Spain, 3 of the Spanish Canary Islands, Germany, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Turkey. It's not the most impressive list you'll find, but I'm proud of it and excited to expand it over the next few years.
Like travel, music is another great love of mine. I can't sing to save my life, but I know good music when I hear it. The playlists that I post on my blog are usually a range of genres; I can go from heavy, hard rock music, to the cheesiest musical theatre recordings in the blink of an eye. The only thing I don't enjoys, is standing at a concert. I hate it because I love to dance, and if you're seated and no one else is up dancing, you kind of look like a moron. Unless you're at a pianist's recital concert, then standing is completely out of the question. But that goes without saying, right?
Even though I'm a complete introvert, one of my favourite things in the world is drag. Drag is the most over the top, boisterous and in your face thing in the world and I absolutely live for it. I go to drag shows all the time, so if you're going to be following my journey on this blog, you're definitely going to be seeing plenty of photos and videos of my favourite drag artists!
Oh, and I love to write. Writing fiction is something I've always been good at. Am I blowing my own trumpet? Maybe. I don't know. But it's true. My grandmother even has some of my early stories that I wrote around the age of six; they're morbid and gruesome and actually kind of awesome. Unlike the stories I wrote as a kid, I have a wider range of writings now. Just last year I completed my second romance novel. Yeah, okay, the second was inspired by two characters from a TV show, so it's essentially fan-fiction, but hey, if E.L James can get away with it, so can I.
Aside from my awkwardness, love of travel, music, and writing, there isn't anything else about me that is interesting. I live a mundane lifestyle while I'm trying to search for something in life to be passionate about, of which I have a few secrets up my sleeve that I may get the honour of dishing out at some point, but until then, feel free to add/follow me on my social media accounts, and don't forget to leave some comments in my posts - appraisals, opinions and constrictive criticisms are all welcome here!
